Richard's Guitar Zone

This wiki contains information about my hobby - guitar.

I started off playing piano at a young age. Probably about 5 or 6. I took lessons for 9 or 10 years. I was introduced to guitar at the age of 11. By this time, piano lessons had bored every bit of passion out of me. So, my dad was into blues and rock. This led me in the right direction, but I recall about once a month my dad would bring out his white electric guitar and play along to the radio. It was something about the music and the guitar, but at age 11 I was hooked. At the time we had one electric and one acoustic guitar. After learning smoke on the water i was addicted to playing. My dad went out and bought a 300$ yamaha acoustic guitar and I began taking lessons. 6 years of lessons followed this. Soon enough I was playing daily, neglecting homework, chores and bedtime because i wanted to play.

Now, the collection of guitars has grown to 7, my music tastes have expanded and I still play daily. In the future I hope to start a band of sorts on top of an accounting career. I will also look to increase my guitar collection.
